How To Replace Lost Arkansas EBT Card – Arkansas EBT Card Replacement

This article will provide you with the step by step process on how you can easily replace lost Arkansas EBT card. Has your Arkansas EBT Card been lost, stolen or the magnetic stripe on the back of the card no longer reads at an EBT terminal? If yes, then you need to report it to the food stamp office.

If you fail to report your lost or stolen EBT card, and as well request for a new card, it could cause a delay in accessing your benefits. In other words, the person who has your card will use your Arkansas food stamp benefits to purchase items for themselves. How To Report And Replace Lost Arkansas EBT Card

If your card has been lost, stolen or damaged, the first thing to do is to report to the Arkansas Department of Human Services by calling 800-997-9999. Once you file your report, the help desk will deactivate the card so that the system does not have multiple active cards for the same account.

Now, a replacement card will be drawn from the food stamp office inventory. Your card information like your pin must be added to the EBT card’s magnetic stripe, and as well and linked to your SNAP account.

Having requested a replacement Arkansas EBT Card, and your PIN added to the EBT system’s database and linked to your food stamp benefits account. Now, the food stamp office will then deliver the new EBT card to you. Once you receive the new card, contact the food stamp office to activate the card so you can continue using your food stamp balance.

Normally, it takes the state agency to replace the EBT card within 2 business days following notice by the household to the state agency. So, you should receive your new Arkansas Benefit Security Card within two business days.

But in most cases, the State may request a waiver from the Department to allow a longer replacement time. So, it’s advisable when you call to report and replace lost Arkansas EBT card or stolen, you ask them how long it will take to receive the replacement card.
