How To Apply For Florida Disaster Food Stamps Online

If you are a resident of Florida who has been affected by the Hurricane ian, you may be eligible to apply for Florida Disaster Food Stamps. Individuals and families who lived or worked in any of the following counties stated below , and were impacted by the disaster are eligible to apply.

  • Charlotte
  • Collier
  • DeSoto
  • Hardee
  • Hillsborough
  • Lee, Manatee
  • Pinellas
  • Sarasota
  • Orange
  • Osceola
  • Polk
  • Seminole

The Florida Disaster Food Stamps application program may begin in some counties as early as Saturday, Oct. 27. This is to help residents cope with the effects of Hurricane Michael.

What You Need to Apply For D-SNAP

In order to apply for Disaster Food Stamps, you will need the following:

  • Names, Social Security Numbers, and Dates of Birth for each household member
  • Address and County where you currently live
  • Monthly income for each household member
  • All liquid resources for each household member (cash on hand, checking, savings).

NOTE: The application process for Disaster Food Stamps is very simple and approval is quicker, usually within 72 hours.

How To Apply For Florida Disaster Food Stamps

Any household in the affected area who qualifies for D-SNAP could receive one month of benefits to meet their food needs as they settle back home following the disaster.

Households in the approved areas that already receive SNAP benefits will automatically receive disaster supplements, up to the maximum allotment for their household size, and do not need to apply for D-SNAP.

If you already have food stamps, you cannot apply for D-SNAP but you can get replacement food stamps if you lost food that was purchased with food stamps as a result of Hurricane Michael.
