Recently, Whole Foods was bought by Amazon.com and as a result of that, you can now buy their products online at Amazon Fresh. Furthermore, you can purchase Whole Foods grocery items on Amazon Fresh with your EBT Card.

Does Whole Foods Accept EBT/Food Stamps?

Well, the answer is YES. Since SNAP is a nationwide program, you can use your EBT card at all Whole Foods locations in the United States to pay for groceries.

How to Use EBT at Whole Foods

You can use your EBT card just like a normal debit card at the point-of-sale terminal. At the checkout counter, simply swipe your EBT card, and you be prompted to enter your 4-digit PIN on the machine in order to complete the transaction. After that, you’ll be able to take your purchases home.

Once you swipe your card, you’ll be prompted to enter your 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN). You must have this information. Also, be sure to only select eligible food items when redeeming SNAP benefits at Whole Foods using your EBT card.

  • Poultry (chicken breast, chicken thighs, chicken drumsticks, turkey breast)
  • Red Meat (steak, ground beef, ribs)
  • Dessert Items (ice cream, brownies, cookies)
  • Candy (Trader Joe’s variety of chocolate bars)
  • Soft Drinks (Italian soda, juice)
  • Snack Crackers and Chips (potato chips, veggie chips, crackers, pretzels)
  • Seeds, Nuts, and Plants (cashews, nut variety packs, peanut butter)
