List Of Restaurants That Don’t Accept EBT Food Stamps

In our previous post, we talked about the restaurant that accepts ebt food stamps. Right now, we shall list all the Restaurants that don’t accept EBT Food Stamps. For your information, not everyone with EBT card is allowed to use their card at fast food restaurants. The only people who are eligible to buy hot food include the homeless, elderly, or disabled people.

The Food Stamps Program, which is also known as SNAP benefits is a federally funded program that offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low-income individuals and families. The Food Stamps or SNAP benefits program is run by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) but administered at the state level.

USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) works to reduce food insecurity and promote nutritious diets among the American people. The agency administers 15 nutrition assistance programs that leverage American’s agricultural abundance to ensure children and low-income individuals and families have nutritious food to eat.

Normally, participants are not allowed to use their benefits to buy foods that are sold hot at authorized SNAP retailers. You can only buy food that you plan to take home and prepare at home to eat.

Below is what you are allowed to buy with your EBT Card:

  • bread and cereals.
  • fruits and vegetables.
  • meats, fish and poultry and
  • dairy products.
  • Seeds and plants which produce food for the household to eat.

You are not allowed to use your EBT Card to purchase the following items.

  • Beer, wine, liquor, cigarettes or tobacco
  • Any nonfood items, such as pet foods, soaps, paper products, household supplies
  • Vitamins and medicines
  • Food that will be eaten in the store
  • Hot foods
